Wilco announce vinyl reissues; Mavis Staples & Bob Dylan share songs

Wilco are reissuing their first two albums, A.M. and Being There, on vinyl and CD with bonus material including alternate takes, unreleased songs, and live recordings, Rolling Stone reports. Bassist John Stirratt wrote the liner notes for the reissues, which will be out on December 1 via Rhino (pre-order). Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has also been busy this year with frequent collaborator Mavis Staples, whose upcoming album If All I Was Was Black was written and produced by him. Mavis just released a new song from the album today, “Little Bit.” Listen below. The album comes out 11/17 via ANTI-.

Mavis is also touring with Bob Dylan soon, including five newly-added shows at NYC’s Beacon Theatre. Tickets for the NYC shows are on presale now and the public on-sale starts Friday (10/13) at 10 AM.

Dylan also has a new song out, “Making A Liar Out Of Me,” a previously-unreleased 1980 song from his upcoming box set, Trouble No More – The Bootleg Series Vol. 13 / 1979-1981. Listen below. That box set comes out November 3 via Columbia Records/Legacy Recording.
