Wilco played Radio City & Brooklyn Steel (pics, setlist, full video)
Wilco‘s Ode to Joy tour hit NYC this weekend for a big show at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday, and a more intimate Brooklyn Steel show on Sunday. Setlists between the two nights were nicely varied, hung on a framework of the new album, and the Brooklyn Steel setlist was the longest of the tour so far with 29 songs, including a five-song encore. The Brooklyn Steel show was also live-streamed and you can can watch the full archived video of that below.
Opening both shows was Daughter of Swords, aka Alexandra Sauser-Monnig of Mountain Man; at the Radio City show, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy compared her voice to a harp. She’ll play with Sylvan Esso (featuring her Mountain Man bandmate Amelia Meath) at Beacon Theatre in November. Pictures of her Brooklyn Steel set, and the whole night, are in the gallery above and setlists for both NYC Wilco shows are below.
