Wilco throwing a Mexico fest w/ Yo La Tengo, Courtney Barnett, Sharon Van Etten & more

Wilco is the latest band to hop on the destination concert/festival train, and will throw Sky Blue Sky at Mexico’s all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya January 18-22, 2020. Wilco will play three full sets, and there will also be sets from frontman Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt and Pat Sansone’s other band The Autumn Defense. The rest of the lineup is also pretty stacked, with Courtney Barnett (solo), Sharon Van Etten, Kamasi Washington, Dr. Dog, Yo La Tengo, Calexico, Durand Jones & The Indications, The Comet Is Coming, and Buenos Aires band Archi. The Sky Blue Sky all-inclusive experience is limited to 2300 fans where all guests stay on site at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. Package prices start at $1599 with all meals, beverages, concerts, and activities included. Daily activities offered include poolside games, cooking demos, yoga classes, and more. Additionally, guests can book off-site excursions to explore the local culture and natural beauty of the area – such as visiting the nearby Mayan ruins in Tulum, snorkeling with sea turtles in Akumal, or zip-lining through the jungle. All excursions will be available to book through the event website. For those who wish to extend their stay, there is a special discounted rate for extra nights before and after the event.

The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is an all-inclusive resort located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Guests can choose from a variety of room categories throughout the property, including Concert Courtyard and Stagefront suites located at the Main Stage. Shows will take place in three outdoor, oceanside venues.
