Wildhoney contributing to new split-EP w/ Mercury Girls, Spook School & Tigercats (listen), touring this summer

Wildhoney @ CMJ 2015 (more by Mimi Hong)

Indie pop labels Slumberland and Fortuna Pop are teaming up for a four-way split EP featuring bands from the U.S. and the UK. The EP, titled Continental Drift, will be out August 22 (pre-order) and features two cuts each from Baltimore’s Wildhoney and Mercury Girls, plus Edinburgh, Scotland’s The Spook School, and East London group Tigercats. We’ve got the premiere of Wildhoney’s “Horror Movie” which is the sort of shimmering, highly melodic song that we’ve come to expect from these superior shoegazers. Stream it, along with one of The Spook School’s songs, “Gone Home,” below.

Wildhoney will also be playing shows this summer, including a three-date East Coast jaunt with Baltimore pals Literature this weekend, beginning at Brooklyn’s Shea Stadium on Thursday, July 14 with Infinity Girl and Weed Hounds also on the bill. Tickets are on sale.
