William Basinski & Grouper playing NYC together, other shows separately
Avant-garde composer William Basinski is playing the Marfa Myths festival in Texas this weekend. The following weekend, when many other artists will be in Texas for a certain other festival, he’ll come to NYC to play with a show with Grouper, which is an awesome double bill. That show takes place at MoMA PS1’s on March 20 and it’s part of the venue’s ‘Sunday Sessions’ series. Grouper will play a set made up of entirely new material in collaboration with filmmaker Paul Clipson, combining her music with projections of his film work. Tickets are on sale now.
