Wilma Archer

Wilma Archer preps debut LP, shares song ft. MF DOOM

UK producer/multi-instrumentalist Wilma Archer (fka Slime) has lent his talents to Jessie Ware’s Devotion, Nilufer Yanya’s Miss Universe, Sudan Archives’ Athena, and more, and he’s now set to release A Western Circular, his first full-length album under his current moniker, on April 3 via Domino imprint Weird World. It features guest appearances from Sudan Archives, Future Islands’ Samuel T. Herring, Laura Groves, and underground rap legend MF DOOM, the latter of whom lends his voice to the string-laden new single “Last Sniff.”

The album also features his two mostly-instrumental 2018 singles: “Cures and Wounds,” which has a similar orchestral tinge to “Last Sniff,” and the jazzy “Scarecrow.” You can listen to all three of those songs below.

Wilma Archer has one upcoming live show as a seven-piece band, happening in London at Chat’s Palace on June 10.
