Wire @ Baby’s All Right (night 2 pics)

Wire just wrapped up their North American tour with three sold-out shows at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right. Like at the first night, Friday’s main set was bookended by two tracks from 1987’s The Ideal Copy — “Ahead” and a pummeling rendition of “Over Theirs” — while in-between saw a nice mix of songs from throughout their 40-year career, with an emphasis on this year’s Silver/Lead. They changed things up for the encore, playing “Boiling Boy” off 1988’s A Bell is a Cup Until it is Struck, and “Blessed State” off 154.

Friday night’s show was opened by War Bubble, the new band from Sarah Register of Talk Normal. Pictures from Friday night are in the gallery above.
