Punk/postpunk legends Wire brought their current tour to NYC last week for two shows, playing Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 3 and Bowery Ballroom on June 4. Pictures from the MHOW show (including ones of opener Julian Lynch) are in this post. Both shows featured the same setlist which, as usual for Wire, was keenly focused on the now. They played all 11 tracks from their terrific new self-titled album, a few from recent albums, two songs from 1988’s A Bell is a Cup Until it Is Struck, and one each from their first three albums. Setlist is below.

This week Wire bring their DRILL Festival to Chicago, featuring performances by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Disappears, White Lung and more over the course of three days. More pictures from Wire at MHOW below…
