Weedmaps Higher Together: Sessions from Home

Wiz Khalifa, Stephen Marley, Cam'ron & more appearing on virtual 4/20 celebration

Marijuana technology and software company Weedmaps isn’t letting coronavirus quarantine get in the way of its 4/20 celebration. The company is presenting “the world’s biggest virtual 4/20 celebration,” “Higher Together, Sessions from Home,” which streams on their site on April 20 from 3 PM-8 PM ET. Wiz Khalifa is doing a DJ set “featuring a selection of his favorite tracks to smoke to,” and there are also appearances, performances, and DJ sets scheduled for Billy Ray Cyrus (who will debut his new single “Hillbilly Ray”), Stephen Marley, Cam’ron, Tycho, Dave East, Ari Lennox, Joey “CoCo” Diaz, Berner, Alchemist, Tony Hinchcliffe, Chaunte Wayans, Kitty Kash, and more. They’ll be collecting donations for Last Prisoner Project.

“Super excited to hang with the Weedmaps smokers all over the world,” Wiz Khalifa said. “I’m even more pumped to be able to share a new project on a holiday everyone loves.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Dre‘s classic The Chronic also arrives at streaming services beyond Apple Music on the 20th, and Nightmares on Wax (whose album Smokers Delight turns 25 this year) is doing a “4/20 Special” livestream broadcast at 1 PM ET on Instagram the same day.
