Glorious Depravity

Woe & Pyrrhon playing NYC; members form Glorious Depravity (listen)

Glorious Depravity is a new Brooklyn death metal supergroup with members of Pyrrhon, Woe, Mutilation Rites, Belus, and Cleanteeth. They’re planning to release their debut album this year, but in the meantime you can listen to a demo of “Hospital Incinerator Blues” and watch a full-set live video of a recent Saint Vitus show. In their own words, they promise “Death metal. Ignorant fucking riffs, primitive drums, grunting animal sounds,” and the music they have out so far very much delivers on that promise. Check it out below.

Glorious Depravity don’t currently have any live dates announced, but Woe and Pyrrhon are playing a Brooklyn show together on March 20 at Knitting Factory, along with Winter Nights, Former Human, and CHMCL Str8jckt. Tickets are on sale now.

That’s Woe’s only upcoming date at the moment, but Pyrrhon are also playing some shows with Dysrhythmia and Cleric, including Brooklyn’s Kingsland on 2/9 (tickets). All of their dates are listed below.
