Woods announce new LP, share first single "Sun City Creeps," touring with Ultimate Painting (dates)

Woods are back with a new album, City Sun Eater In The River Of Light, out April 8 via Woodsist. Judging from opening cut “Sun City Creeps,” this LP will be a bit different for the Brooklyn band. Across six minutes, the song is lightly funky with soulful horns that has plenty of time for Woods’ patented guitar interplay. It still sounds like Woods, though. The band will be on tour this spring and most of the dates are with UK band Ultimate Painting which is a very appealing double bill. That tour wraps up at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 7. Tickets for the MHOW show go on sale Friday (1/15) at noon with an AmEx presale beginning Wednesday (1/13) at noon.
