Woodstock 50 reportedly will include Run the Jewels, Robert Plant, more

Rumors and reports about the lineup for the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival set to take place in Watkins Glen, NY from August 16-18 continue to come in as we wait for the official lineup to be released. Yesterday we heard that Jay-Z, The Black Keys, Miley Cyrus, and Halsey were set to perform at the festival, whose lineup is also reported to include Dead & Co, Imagine Dragons, Chance the Rapper, The Killers and Santana. Today, a new Variety report lists even more artists who are “said to be finalizing their commitments” to perform. The newest additions include The Raconteurs, Run the Jewels, Gary Clark Jr., Cage the Elephant, Greta Van Fleet, Margo Price, Sturgill Simpson, Portugal the Man, Dawes, the Lumineers, Bishop Briggs, Pussy Riot, Courtney Barnett, Janelle Monae, Robert Plant, and Brandi Carlile.

Variety reports that according to their sources, “artists with firm offers have been wired payments and a lineup announcement is imminent.” They’ve also heard that the festival will have three stages, named the Peace Stage, Love Stage, and Music Stage. Sounds very on-brand!

In a statement on March 4, Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang, who is spearheading the anniversary festival, said, “there’s always been lots of rumors around Woodstock. We have excellent partners and an incredible talent lineup of over 80 artists which will be announced within the next couple of weeks. We’re preparing a once in a lifetime event.”

Stay tuned for more updates.
