Wrecking Ball

Wrecking Ball aftershows (Thursday & Touche Amore, Piebald & Brendan Lukens, more)

The second-annual Atlanta punk festival Wrecking Ball is happening from August 12-14, and now aftershows have been announced that are as stacked as the festival itself.

Friday night (8/12) has one from reunited metalcore band Poison the Well, and an ‘Atlanta Is The Reason’ emo DJ night with Geoff Rickly and Tucker Rule from Thursday.

Saturday night has the reunited Thursday themselves with their proteges Touche Amore opening (and Gouge Away too). Plus that night has the reunited Piebald with Modern Baseball co-frontman Brendan Lukens and a special guest TBA; and Deafheaven with Sumac and Nordra.

Sunday night has shows with Turnstile, Tiny Moving Parts, Diet Cig, and more.

Tickets for all aftershows go on sale Friday (7/1) at noon. “VIPs will get complimentary admission to one of the shows. Each has a limited capacity, so if you don’t get into one, you will get another. Instructions for registration will be emailed to VIP holders tonight.” More details on the poster above.

The daily lineups for the fest can be found HERE. Saturday has L7, Drive Like Jehu, Deerhunter, The Julie Ruin, Gorilla Biscuits and more; and Sunday has Quickand, Dinosaur Jr, Thursday, American Football and more.
