Wye Oak announce tour, covered Pat Benatar (who's also touring)

Wye Oak are the latest band to take part in AV Club’s Undercover series, offering up their take on Pat Bentar‘s 1984 hit “We Belong.” They put some of their Wye Oak-ish spin on it, but they mostly stay pretty true to the original and even have a drum pad for those big ’80s snares. Watch below. The band say they have new music on the way too.

Wye Oak also announced a big summer tour, which includes Brooklyn on June 21 at Warsaw. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (4/1) at noon. All dates are listed below.

Pat Benatar is also touring (with her collaborator/husband Neil Giraldo, as usual). That includes acoustic shows near NYC at Long Island’s Paramount on 5/10 (tickets) and Peekskill’s Paramount on 5/11 (tickets). It also includes a full-band show, co-headlining with Melissa Etheridge, at NYC’s Beacon Theatre on July 6. Tickets for the Beacon will be on sale soon. All tour dates are listed here.
