Yann Tiersen releasing 'All,' touring - listen to "Tempelhof"
Best known for his work on soundtracks, like 2001’s Amélie, French musician and composer Yann Tiersen has announced a new album, All, due out February 15. Mixed and co-produced by Depeche Mode and Erasure producer Gareth Jones, All was recorded in Yann’s new Ushant (a small island on the Celtic sea) studio, venue, and community center, The Eskal. The first track to be released off All, “Tempelhof” is a mellow piano piece that would be right at home in a film score and incorporates field recordings from Tempelhof Airport in Berlin. Listen below.
Yann has also announced a 2019 tour in support of All. Most of the dates are overseas but there are a couple in the US, including NYC’s Beacon Theatre on May 28. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 26 at noon.
Yann’s other US date happens at LA’s Greek Theater on May 10. See all his upcoming dates below.
