Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Yeah Yeah Yeahs announce 'Fever To Tell' reissue, share unreleased song "Shake It"

Yesterday, Yeah Yeah Yeahs teased what seemed like a reissue of their classic 2003 debut Fever To Tell, and it turns out that’s exactly what it was. The reissue will be out on black 180 Gram audiophile vinyl for the first time ever, newly remastered by Stephen Marcussen. The vinyl reissue also comes with five newspaper lyric posters with exclusive photos by Nick Zinner, Spike Jonze, Lance Bangs, Julian Gross, Patrick Daughters and Cintamani Calise.

There’s also a Fever To Tell box set with a bonus LP including previously-unreleased demos, B-sides, and rarities. The box also includes:

* 164-page hardbound photo book of Nick Zinner’s personal photos plus 16 pages from Karen O’s personal notebook
* Iron-on patch

* Collectable sticker

* Champagne Cork 8GB USB Stick including 29 Audio Tracks and 90+ minutes of video content including 26 mins of unreleased, unseen behind-the-scenes footage from 2003 UK tour, live performances, 2 fan films and 4 music videos

* Photo Card – each box will feature 1 of 10 various photos hand selected by Nick Zinner from his personal photos that will be signed by all 3 members of the band

* Fishnet stockings will wrap the outside of the box

Also, the first 500 box set buyers will receive a bonus cassette with 4 additional exclusive, unreleased demo bonus tracks with handwritten labels by the band. The cassette includes “Phone Jam,” which the band released online yesterday.

The reissue is due out on October 20. One of the previously-unreleased rarities is “Shake It” which you can stream now. Listen and check out the box set tracklist below.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been on something of a hiatus from live shows for the past four years, save for a one-off appearance at the afterparty for the premiere of the new Mick Rock documentary last year, but they’ve been slowly announcing their return to the stage. In addition to Sound on Sound and The Growlers Six, Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre appears to be teasing a YYYs show for November 7. It also looks like Goldenvoice is teasing one at LA’s Fonda Theatre for October 25:

UPDATE: LA and NYC shows confirmed! Pre-order the new reissue today to get presale tickets. The general on-sale begins Friday (9/29). Those are their only headlining shows of 2017.
