Yeah Yeah Yeahs @ Aragon Ballroom (pics, videos, setlist)

Yeah Yeah Yeahs returned from hiatus last year and they still haven’t gone on a proper tour, sticking mostly to short runs, one-offs, and festival appearances. Their latest show was at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom last night (5/29). Like at other recent headlining shows, it began with a screening of their There Is No Modern Romance documentary, and the members came on stage as “Modern Romance” played while the end credits rolled, and began playing along with the song. They then proceeded to play almost all of their classic debut Fever To Tell (which got an expanded reissue last year), plus other faves like “Gold Lion,” “Heads Will Roll,” “Zero,” “Sacrilege,” and more, as well as “Miles Away” from their first EP which they hadn’t played on this post-hiatus run yet. Pictures of the Chicago show are in the gallery above, and the setlist and a couple videos are below.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ next show is NYC’s Governors Ball this Friday (6/1) and they’re one of the acts we’re excited to see. It’ll be the NYC band’s second hometown show since returning from hiatus, and they’re playing right before Jack White, who they go way back with (the first-ever YYYs show was opening for White Stripes at Mercury Lounge in 2000).
