Yeah Yeah Yeahs screening new documentary at Videology

When Yeah Yeah Yeahs reissued their classic 2003 debut Fever To Tell last month, it came with bonus content including the band’s new documentary There Is No Modern Romance. The band screened that documentary at Kings Theatre last week (11/7), their first proper hometown show in four years, and they’ll screen it in NYC once again on November 29 at Videology. The documentary is screening in the back room and the front room will be playing Fever To Tell on repeat. It goes from 6:15 to 8:15 PM. Admission is free and first come, first served, no RSVP required. One lucky fan in attendance will win a test pressing of the LP.

If you haven’t seen the documentary and you’re a fan of the band, it’s worth checking it out. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Fever To Tell and the band’s 2003 UK tour, with live footage, studio footage, backstage arguments, and more. It’s great stuff.

For anyone not in NYC, YYYs have a related opportunity for you:

For fans all over the world, whether you bought the Fever To Tell deluxe boxset or not, we want you to have the chance to experience the record or see the film together!

Whether you have a bar or record store or screening room or gallery or friend’s basement, let us know where YOU would host a ‘Fever to Tell’ listening party, a ‘There is No Modern Romance’ screening (or both!) between December 1st-17th, and we will pick 15 winners at random to win a super rare vinyl test pressing and/or screening copy of the film!

We’ll create an official YYYs Facebook Event for fans to join you in this communal experience! No matter how big or small your space, what town, city or country you’re in, everyone is invited to enter.

Deadline for entries is Midnight Sunday, November 29th.

Thank you for being a part of this record and film with us, wherever you may be!
