Yeah Yeah Yeahs soundtrack Jessica Jones S2 trailer (watch)

Netflix series Jessica Jones returns for a second season on March 8, 2018, and a full trailer has been released. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ “Runaway” provides the soundtrack for the trailer, and you can watch it below. Starring Krysten Ritter as the titular character with super powers and a traumatic past, season two will run thirteen episodes, all of them directed by women. According to Deadline:

In Season 2, New York City PI Jones (Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) are returning for season two, and Kilgrave will be around in some capacity as well (perhaps a flashback?) – Entertainment Weekly spotted David Tennant on set. Den of Geek reports on some new characters joining the ensemble, including J.R. Ramirez as Oscar, the new superintendent of Jessica’s apartment building (and possible love interest?); Leah Gibson as Ingrid; Janet McTeer in an “undisclosed” role; and characters named Dr. Kirby and Presley.

If any of the locations in Jessica Jones look familiar to you, that’s because much of season two, like season one, was filmed in NYC. Film crews for the series, under the codename “Violet,” have been spotted in Times Square, Astoria, and in various Brooklyn locations, including Greenpoint and Windsor Terrace.

Speaking of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the band returns to NYC for Governors Ball in June; BBC6 recently named their 2003 album Fever to Tell an “essential” NYC album. They also have an upcoming show in LA with LCD Soundsystem.
