Yelle are here, wrap up Rough Trade run tonight (check out night 2 pics)

French dance act Yelle just began their Club Party Tour and tonight will wrap up a sold-out three-night stand at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade. We were at Saturday’s show which definitely had the Party going. Backed by GrandMarnier and another musician on drums and synthpads, Yelle banged out hits like “Je veux te voir,” “À cause des garçons” “Que veux-tu” and new stuff too — like the just released “Romeo” — as an almost nonstop mix. There was choreography and audience participation; the Rough Trade crowd on Saturday came to dance. Fun show. Pictures from Saturday are in the gallery above and a few videos from the show, plus the video for “Romeo,” are below.

Yelle’s final show at Rough Trade is tonight (10/1) and is sold-out, but there were tickets at the door last night (which was also sold-out) so if you really want to go, it might be worth swinging by. Yelle’s North American tour continues into November, where it wraps at up Sound on Sound Festival in Texas.
