Yoko Ono releasing 'Hell in Paradise 2016' remix EP (listen to a track); old 'Simpsons' joke made real in new art installation

Ever-creative octogenarian Yoko Ono released an album of remixes, Yes I’m A Witch Too, earlier this year and will keep things on the dancefloor with two remix EPs of track “Hell in Paradise.” The song was originally on her 1985 album Starpeace which she made with Sly & Robbie (and featured backing vocals from Nona Hendryx and Bernard Fowler), and here she’s redubbed the song “Hell in Paradise 2016” with reworks by Dave Aude, KueAlyson Calagna and more. The EPs will be out later this year via Mind Train/TWISTED Records, and we’ve got the premiere of the Kue Remix and you can listen to that below.

In other news, Yoko curated a new art exhibition, Yoko Ono: One More Story, that’s currently showing at the Reykjavik Art Museum in Iceland. One piece is a “single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man’s hat” which you may remember was the drink order of a Yoko Ono analog in the classic “Be Sharps” episode of The Simpsons/em> which replayed The Beatles rise and fall as a Homer’s barber shop quartet. Check out the original scene, and a picture of the art piece, below.
