You Say Party released first LP in six years, made a video for every song (watch)

Canadian band You Say Party released their first album since 2009 earlier this year, also the first since drummer Devon Clifford died after collapsing on stage in Vancouver in 2010. Having regrouped in 2012, the new configuration of the band have become less spiky new wave, and more ethereal and introspective. The new self-titled album came out earlier this year via Paper Bag, and the band have been releasing a video for every song on the album since. The final video, album-closer “Heading In The Direction Of The Rising Sun,” was directed by Drew Bienemann and Jessica Nicole Collins and, taking from the song’s title, tracks a trip that involves car, boat and plane. There are some lovely shots, made all the more ominous by the song’s dark tone. That video premieres in this post, and you can watch it, and the other seven from the LP, below.
