Young and In The Way reveal "The Gathering" video

Young and In The Way

If your first experience with North Carolina “blackened crust” crew Young and In The Way was at the BV/Power of The Riff SXSW show, you might think that the band is all about blasting their brand of darkness as fast and as evil as (in)humanly possible. Fortunately, YAITW are also concerned with the shadowy spaces in between, as evidenced by “The Gathering”, the post-rock influenced closer to V. Eternal Depression. The song unfolds over the course of eleven sorrowful minutes, using horns, acoustic guitars, and ambient noise with nary a distortion pedal in sight.

“The Gathering” has been given the VIP treatment with a new video, viewable for the first time in thios post. Directed by John Bradburn & Andy Paton (93 Million Miles), check out the mesmerizing clip below.

Young and In The Way’s previous output, I Am Not What I Am and Amen was recently pacakaged together for a single 2LP release on A389 Records. Order yours via the label. Look for new material to surface in the near future in the form of a split 7″ with Withdrawal.
