Young Jesus streaming 'S/T,' touring

LA indie rockers Young Jesus recently followed 2015’s Grow / Decompose (and 2016’s Void As Lob EP) with a new album, S/T, via Gigantic Noise (order yours). Like Grow / Decompose, the new album finds Young Jesus working with the sounds of classic slowcore (and a little early Modest Mouse) and coming out with something that stands apart from its influences. The songs are a little longer this time, which the band says was a result of heightened improvisation in their live sets. The whole album is just seven songs but clocks in at almost 50 minutes, with one nearing the 10-minute mark and one nearing the 13-minute mark (the latter of which takes Young Jesus into harder and noisier territory than usual). The whole thing is well worth your time, and you can hear it below.

Young Jesus will be back on the road with past tourmates Pope this fall, including a NYC show on October 5 at The Gateway and a New Brunswick house show on 10/9. All dates are listed below.
