Zola Jesus in NYC in 2013 (more by Greg Cristman)
Zola

Zola Jesus made the move to bigger label Mute (from Sacred Bones) and is now a week away from releasing her first album for the label, Taiga, due October 7. After sharing “Dangerous Days” and “Go (Blank Sea),” she’s now put the full thing out there ahead of its release, via the NY Times. Like the two singles hinted, this is Zola Jesus sounding a bit bigger than she has in the past, but not without the darkness she’s always been known for and of course that distinct voice. Listen for yourself, here.

Zola Jesus also has a previously discussed tour hitting NYC on October 19 at Webster Hall with Suicide’s Martin Rev and electronic producer Lee Bannon. Tickets for that show are still available.
