Zonal Wrecked

Zonal (Godflesh, The Bug) announce new album ft. Moor Mother on 6 songs (listen)

Zonal, the new collaborative proejct of Justin Broadrick (Godflesh) and Kevin Martin (The Bug) — who previously collaborated under the name Techno Animal — recently released a two-song single and said they’d put out a full-length album this fall, and now that album has been announced. It’s called Wrecked, and it includes 12 songs, the first six of which feature avant-garde rapper Moor Mother. The first taste is the Moor Mother collab “System Error,” which is a very cool, experimental blend of dark industrial and hip hop that plays to all three musicians’ strengths. Listen and check out the tracklist below.

The album drops October 25 via Relapse, and Relapse have said they’re working on Techno Animal reissues too.

Meanwhile, Justin Broadrick is coming to Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus this weekend under his JK Flesh moniker for Hospital Productions’ takeover of the venue that includes a Friday (8/23) late-night show with JK Flesh, Confines, No Dawn, and Moral Extrication (tickets); and a Saturday (8/24) show with Sannhet, Alberich, and Lussuria (tickets).
