
10,000 bicyclists participated in Black Lives Matter bike ride (pics, video)
We already posted pictures and video from Juneteenth events in Manhattan and Queens, but the celebration of the anniversary of the end of slavery in the US continued throughout the weekend. On Saturday (6/20), bike riding and protest group Street Riders NYC hosted a Black Lives Matter ride that started in Times Square and went a 20 mile loop, to Harlem and down the West Side Highway to Battery Park. Streetsblog NYC reports that around 10,000 cyclists participated -- several thousand more than the estimated 6,200 who showed up at Trump's Tulsa, Oklahoma rally the same day.
