FULL OF HELL - "ARMORY OF OBSIDIAN GLASS" (ft. LINGUA IGNOTA)
Full of Hell shared another song from their anticipated Relapse debut Weeping Choir, and this one sees the often-grindy band slowing things down and getting atmospheric. It also features soaring guest vocals from Lingua Ignota, who says, "‘Armory of Obsidian Glass’ rips, and is probably my favorite FOH track to date, so it was a great pleasure to work on it. I wanted my vocals to provide a counterpoint to all the savagery, to pick up on and accentuate harmonic things happening in the music in an unexpected way. I think the effect overall is chilling, wild, and I’m excited for people to hear it — many thanks to my friends for letting me contribute to this amazing song."
MARTYRDOD - "PHARMACEPTICON"
Martyrdod's anticipated new album comes out next week and a third single is out now. This one's more of a mid-tempo stomper than the previous two, but killer in its own way and keeping our hopes high for the rest of the LP.
FALLS OF RAUROS - "NEW INERTIA"
Portland, ME black metallers Falls of Rauros have released a killer lead single from their upcoming album, Patterns in Mythology, due July 19 via Gilead Media. Read more about it at Invisible Oranges and stream it at Decibel.
BIG|BRAVE - "HOLDING PATTERN"
BIG|BRAVE have shared another single from their upcoming fourth album A Gaze Among Them, which drops next week (5/10) via Southern Lord. As is usually the case with this band, the new song is genre-defying and impossible to pigeonhole, pulling from goth, industrial, post-rock, and more, and it's all tied together by the stunning vocals of Robin Wattie.
FALSE - "A VICTUAL TO OUR DEAD SELVES"
False are releasing their new album Portent on July 1 via Gilead Media. It's got just four tracks, one of which is the nearly-11-minute "A Victual To Our Dead Selves," which is a majestic dose of atmospheric black metal. Listen now at Revolver and stay tuned for a more widely-available stream.
ABBATH - "CALM IN IRE OF HURRICANE"
Immortal vocalist Abbath Doom Occulta is releasing a new Abbath album, Outstrider, on July 5 via Season of Mist, and he has now shared second single "Calm In Ire of Hurricane." It's as evil and relentless as you'd hope for from Abbath.
IMMORTAL BIRD - "ANGER BREEDS CONTEMPT"
Chicago's Immortal Bird will release their sophomore album Thrive On Neglect on July 5 via 20 Buck Spin (their first for the label), and first single "Anger Breeds Contempt" defies easy categorization, pulling from black, death, sludge, and hardcore without fitting neatly into any of them.
ZEALOT R.I.P. - "MAGNETIC FIELD OF DREAMS"
Zealot R.I.P. is a metal/punk supergroup with members of Pig Destroyer, Darkest Hour, CombatWoundedVeteran, Frodus, and their self-titled EP is coming May 20 via Three One G. Hear the bulldozing first single now.
