This week (and last long weekend) in hip hop, we got new songs from Roc Marciano, The Professionals (Oh No & Madlib), CJ Fly/Conway, Mach-Hommy, Melodownz/Denzel Curry, Flatbush Zombies/Tech N9ne, Rico Nasty, Teyana Taylor, and more, plus new projects from Roddy Ricch, Max B, and Fat Joe. Read on for all the new rap and R&B we posted on BV this week...

ROC MARCIANO - "RICHARD GEAR"

New York rapper Roc Marciano remains incredibly prolific, and his music remains throwback yet timeless. He recently dropped his new album Marcielago (featuring Ka, Westside Gunn, Willie The Kid, Knowledge The Pirate, and Cook$) as a $30 download on his website, and he gave the video treatment to "Richard Gear."

THE PROFESSIONALS (OH NO & MADLIB) - "SUPERHUMANS" (ft. ELZHI & CHINO XL)

Madlib and his brother Oh No have released music as The Professionals as far back as 2008, but they're just now gearing up to release their first full-length album under the name on January 17 via Madlib Invazion. It's self-titled and the first single is "Superhumans," which features Elzhi and Chino XL and is a very fine dose of underground rap.

CJ FLY - "WE FROM" (ft. CONWAY THE MACHINE, prod. STATIK SELEKTAH)

Pro Era (and Beast Coast) member CJ Fly has dropped a new single featuring Griselda's Conway the Machine and produced by Statik Selektah. All three of these guys know a thing or two about making throwback, '90s style New York rap, and all three bring their A game to this song.

--

MACH-HOMMY - "CLOUT DRACULA" (ft. NAVY BLUE, YOUNGQUEENZ & TVOY)

Mach-Hommy has been one of the most talked-about names in abstract rap this year (thanks in part to collaborations with Earl Sweatshirt), and he returned over the weekend with this dizzying new single.

--

MELODOWNZ - "NO MERCY" (ft. DENZEL CURRY)

Denzel Curry hops on this new track by rising New Zealand rapper Melodownz, and if you like Denzel's own dark, punk-inspired rap, you're probably gonna dig this song too.

--

FLATBUSH ZOMBIES - "MONICA" (ft. TECH N9NE)

Flatbush Zombies and Tech N9ne are both known for making in-your-face rap that has both an underground/abstract mindset and a wide appeal, so it's a well-matched pairing that they teamed up for this new song.

--

RICO NASTY - "HARD"

Rico Nasty remains on an unstoppable rise, and as you'd probably guess from the title, this new song goes hard.

--

DAVE EAST, JAY ELECTRONICA, 070 PHI - "NO HOODIE (NOTHIN' TO LOSE)"

Harlem rapper Dave East recently released his new album Survival, and now he's got a new song with the once-buzzy, now-kinda-elusive Jay Electronica, and 070 Phi (who's signed to Mass Appeal and from the same 070 crew as G.O.O.D. Music's 070 Shake). It's a cold, dark song, and these three sound great together.

OZUNA - "PATEK" (ft. ANUEL AA & SNOOP DOGG)

On Black Friday, fast-rising reggaeton star Ozuna followed a string of 2019 singles with his new album Nibiru. One of its tracks, "Patek," sees Ozuna teaming up with fellow crossover urbano artist Anuel AA, plus Snoop Dogg, making for a melting pot of modern-day Latin hip hop and Snoop's classic West Coast vibe. Other guests on the album include Swae Lee, Nicky Jam, Diddy, DJ Snake, Sech, and more.

--

TEYANA TAYLOR - "WE GOT LOVE"

Last year, Teyana Taylor joined Kanye West on SNL to play the new song "We Got Love," which was intended for her Kanye-produced album K.T.S.E. but left off due to sample clearance issues. Now, over a year later, the studio version is finally here.

---

PUSSY RIOT - "HANGERZ" (ft. VIC MENSA & JUNGLEPUSSY)

Pussy Riot take on injustices surrounding abortion on their new industrial rap rager that features rappers Vic Mensa and Junglepussy. It's got an unflinching message and tons of slogan-ready one-liners, and with this very bold lyric video, you won't miss a word:

--

FAT JOE - "LORD ABOVE" (ft. EMINEM & MARY J BLIGE)

Fat Joe dropped his new album Family Ties today, and it features his recent single with Cardi B and Anuel AA, as well as this new song with Eminem and Mary J Blige. It's a pretty nice dose of soulful throwback rap, and Eminem really throws it back, referencing the whole Mariah Carey / Nick Cannon thing in his verse.

--

RODDY RICCH - PLEASE EXCUSE ME FOR BEING ANTISOCIAL

Rising rapper Roddy Ricch hails from Compton but his sing-rap style has been compared to Atlanta rappers like Future and Rich Homie Quan, and if you like those guys, Roddy's debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial is worth a spin. Guests include Meek Mill, Gunna, Lil Durk, Ty Dolla $ign, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, and Mustard.

--

MAX B - HOUSE MONEY

Harlem rapper Max B is still in prison, but that didn't stop him from releasing this new EP. Guests include Jadakiss, Cam'ron, A$AP Ferg, Dave East, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, French Montana, and Wiz Khalifa.
