So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, show recaps, track premieres, and more all day. That includes a lot of tour announcements, a list of tonight’s NYC shows, and NY shows that just went on sale. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place…

DENZEL CURRY - "IM JUST SAYIN THO" (ft. TOMMY SWISHER)

Fresh off his great verse on the remix of JPEGMAFIA's "BALD!", Denzel Curry dropped his own new song, which finds him in typically fired-up mode over throwback, soulful production.

SLOWTHAI - "ENEMY" (co-prod. SAMO & KWES DARKO)

UK rapper slowthai is back with a new single, "ENEMY," which opens with a sample of The 1975's Mattty Healy at the 2020 NME Awards and finds slowthai exploring his dark, murky side.

ICECOLDBISHOP - "DICKIES SUIT"

Speaking of slowthai, slowthai and Rico Nasty collaborator ICECOLDBISHOP recently dropped this new abstract-rap banger, helmed by frequent Rico Nasty producer Kenny Beats.

BROCKHAMPTON - "N.S.T." & "THINGS CAN'T STAY THE SAME"

The ever-prolific Brockhampton apparently have two albums due this year, and they just released two new singles, both of which find them sounding a little darker and more psychedelic than they did on their last album (kind of in the Yeezus and 22, A Million realm). Cool to hear them do stuff like this.

STANDING ON THE CORNER - "ANGEL (LIFE AND DEATH OF THE EARTH IN THE KEY OF F)"

Standing on the Corner remain one of the most exciting groups in NYC right now (and even if you aren't familiar with them by name, you may have heard their collaborations with Earl Sweatshirt, Solange, and Danny Brown), and today they've released this new single, which is a great example of their ability to entirely ignore pre-existing genre boundaries.

OMB BLOODBATH - "DROPOUT" (ft. MAXO KREAM)

Rising Houston rapper OMB Bloodbath inked a new deal with 10:22PM/LVRN/Interscope, and her debut major label single is the dark, hazy "Dropout," which finds her trading bars with fellow Houston rapper Maxo Kream.

MOSES SUMNEY - "BLESS ME"

The second half of Moses Sumney's ambitious (and great) two-part album, græ, is out this Friday and here's one last early taste -- the expansive, soaring "Bless Me."

--

XIU XIU - "CRABLIKE SPINY ORB WEAVER"

Jamie Stuart has shared this new Xiu Xiu drone track as part of compilation Reels for Relief, which is donating all profits from the album "to nonprofits such as Direct Relief and Project C.U.R.E. in order to assist in providing elevated means of financial and medical resources within underfunded and underprivileged areas that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic."

THAO & THE GET DOWN STAY DOWN - "PURE CINEMA"

"‘Pure Cinema’ is about taking stock of how adrift I’ve been, in every sense of the word," says Thao Nguyen of her new single. "It’s very easy to feel lost and alone even as you are surrounded by people. I’ve had a very compromised relationship to touring over the years. if you’re not right with yourself it is only going to be exaggerated as you cast yourself out into the world. I’ve floated above my life for a long time; I’ve landed now. It makes me so happy to see my bandmates settled and happy in their own homes and lives, as I am in mine. ‘Pure Cinema’ is a cautionary tale and also an encouragement to keep faith and keep building home and family." Thao & The Get Down Stay Down's new album, Temple, is out Friday.

DAVID MCCLYMONT (ORANGE JUICE) & PETER LOVEDAY - "RUN"

David McClymont, who played bass in '80s Scottish indie band Orange Juice, has teamed with Australian singer-songwriter Peter Loveday on a new album, A new path to the waterfall, which was released on Sunday. They've also just released a video for "Run" which you can also check out:

DEHD - "LONER"

Chicago trio Dehd are back with sophomore album Flower of Devotion, which will be out June 17 via Fire Talk. “The last record, the vibe was ‘How minimal can it be? What’s the minimum that a song requires to succeed?’ This one was like, ‘How can we make this thing that’s really powerful?,” says singer/guitarist Jason Balla, while singer/bassist Emily Kempf adds, “We didn’t become more perfectionist. We’ve always been really scrappy, but we decided to polish our scrappiness just a little bit.” First single "Loner" is definitely bigger sounding than anything on Dehd's debut. Watch the video, which was shot in Joshua Tree and at Chicago’s The Hideout:

RODRIGO Y GABRIELA - "BAD GUY" (BILLIE EILISH COVER)

Acoustic duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela took to Instagram over the weekend to share a cover of Billie Eilish's "Bad Buy" in their own distinctive style. "We chose this cover because it’s always fun to come up with a pure acoustic and instrumental version out of a purely electronica track, besides we think it’s a cool song," say R&G. "Billie and Finneas are very talented and creative for sure."

ARAABMUZIK, PLAYS & NEEM - "TAKE OFF" (ft. CONWAY THE MACHINE)

Long-running, prolific producer AraabMuzik is releasing a project with rising rappers Plays and Neem, Tones, on June 19 via Highland. It's got two guests: Juelz Santana and Conway the Machine, the latter of whom appears on the sinister new single "Take Off.'

James Blake did another of his quarantine covers, this time the Stevie Wonder piano ballad "Never Dreamed You'd Leave In Summer," which is well-suited for James' style.

--

SKELETON - "CATACOMBS"

Austin's Skeleton were more or less a hardcore band on their early EPs, but they just signed to 20 Buck Spin for their self-titled debut full-length, and first single "Catacombs" finds them incorporating a whole lot of black metal into their sound. It's cool stuff and we're looking forward to hearing the rest of this LP.

--

BAD BUNNY - "PA' ROMPERLA" (ft. DON OMAR)

Bad Bunny surprise-released his second album of 2020, Las Que No Iban a Salir, over the weekend. We're still taking it in, but the fiery Don Omar collab "Pa' Romperla" is already a highlight.
