So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, show recaps, track premieres, and more all day. That includes a lot of tour announcements, a list of tonight’s NYC shows, and NY shows that just went on sale. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place…

JFDR – “THINK TOO FAST”

Icelandic artist JFDR has shared another track from her upcoming album New Dreams that's out this week. There is an ASMR quality to Jófríður Ákadóttir's whispered vocals that seem right in your ear. The video was shot in Japan with friend and director Timothée Lambrecq not long after a difficult break-up. "He had just relocated to Japan and was sort of studying the people, adjusting to the space," says Jófríður. "It was equally ideal and un-ideal that during the short window we had to film I struggled to get myself motivated, so it became a pretty honest portrait of someone wandering alone in a strange foreign place (referencing the great film 'Lost In Translation'). While the real stars of the video are the everyday people, struggling or not, maybe suddenly they become existential and start asking themselves what they're missing in this twister that is life."
