2006 Plug Awards | Help me Nominate

The 2006 Plug Independent Music Awards will take place at Webster Hall in NYC on February 2, 2006. Last year’s award ceremony featured performances by Sufjan Stevens, Saul Williams, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, RJD2, Aesop Rock, & Dillinger Escape Plan. Interpol and TV on the Radio were the big winners.

This year I’m on the advisory board. I have until Sunday at midnight to submit my final nominations. (I guess albums that come out from now to December 31st don’t have a chance).

I especially need help with the DJ, Punk, Hip-hop, and electronica categories, and remember it has to be independent. I suppose Kanye West is not eligible, and I can’t vote for the Bob Dylan documentary in the DVD category. Post your suggestions in the comments. Thanks!
