2022 Oscar nominations: Questlove, Billie Eilish, Jonny Greenwood, Beyoncé, Dune, Licorice Pizza, more

The 2022 Oscar nominations have been announced. Jane Campion‘s Power of the Dog leads the pack with 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and one for Jonny Greenwood‘s great score.

Dune received 10 nominations, including one for Hanz Zimmer‘s score, and not far behind were West Side Story and Belfast with seven nominations each, and King Richard with six nominations.

Questlove‘s directorial debut, Summer of Soul, was nominated for Best Documentary, alongside Ascension, Attica, Flee, and Writing With Fire.

The full list of Best Picture nominees: The Power of the Dog, Dune, West Side Story, King Richard, Belfast, CODA, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, Licorice Pizza, and Nightmare Alley.

In addition to Greenwood and Zimmer, the other Best Score nominees are Nicholas Britell for Don’t Look Up, Germaine Franco for Encanto, and Alberto Iglesias for Parallel Mothers,

Best Original Song nominees are Beyoncé‘s “Be Alive” from King Richard, “Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto, Van Morrisson‘s “Down to Joy” from Belfast, and Billie Eilish‘s Bond theme for No Time to Die.

The 2022 Academy Awards will be given out Sunday, March 27 at 8 PM Eastern, and will be broadcast on ABC.
