Update: Lil Wayne has released a deluxe edition of Funeral including eight new songs and guest appearances by Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine (on “Russian Roulette”), Doja Cat (on “Shimmy”), Lil Uzi Vert (on “Multiple Flows”), and more.

LIL YACHTY – “T.D” (ft. A$AP ROCKY, TYLER THE CREATOR, TIERRA WHACK)

Lil Yachty’s new album Lil Boat 3 is out today, and it includes this very cool song with the impressive cast of A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator, and Tierra Whack. Read more here.

FREDDIE GIBBS & THE ALCHEMIST – “SOMETHING TO RAP ABOUT” (ft. TYLER THE CREATOR)

Tyler also features on this standout track off Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist’s great new Alfredo project.

FLATBUSH ZOMBIES – “IAMLEGEND”

Flatbush Zombies have announced a new EP, now, more than ever, due next week (June 5 via Glorious Dead Recordings, and lead single “iamlegend” comes with a video shot in quarantine. It’s as much of a third-eye banger as you’d expect from these guys.

GEORGIA ANNE MULDROW (JYOTI) – “THIS WALK” & “COWRIE WALTZ”

Psychedelic soul/hip hop great Georgia Anne Muldrow is releasing a new album with her jazz project, Jyoti, Mama, You Can Bet!, on August 28 via eOne. The first two songs are out now. “This Walk” isn’t a million miles away from Georgia’s usual material, while “Cowrie Waltz” is an instrumental freakout. Both are great.

YOUNG DOLPH – “RNB” (ft. MEGAN THEE STALLION)

Young Dolph and Megan Thee Stallion are already forces to be reckoned with on their own. Together, they sound as unstoppable as you’d expect.

DANILEIGH – “DOMINICAN MAMI” (ft. FIVIO FOREIGN)

R&B singer/rapper DaniLeigh follows her recent DaBaby collab “Levi High” with this new single featuring rising Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign. “Levi High” found DaniLeigh in airy R&B mode, but she spits on this one.

WIKI – “CASH OUT” (PROD. A LAU & TONY SELTZER)

Wiki recently debuted this song in a COLORS session and now the official studio version is here. It’s great.

JUICE WRLD – “TELL ME U LOVE ME” (ft. TRIPPIE REDD)

Another posthumous single by Juice WRLD, whose life was tragically cut short at 21, is here, and this one features Trippie Redd.

AMINE – “RIRI”

Aminé has a way of making catchy, melodic rap that doesn’t really sound like anyone else, and this song is no exception.

RMR – “I’M NOT OVER YOU” (CO-PROD. TIMBALAND)

After going viral with “Rascal,” RMR has continued to drop more singles and each one continues to be pretty good. This one is no exception. His debut EP Drug Dealing Is A Lost Art comes out next week (June 5 via CMNTY Culture/Warner).

KAMAIYAH – “EXTRAVAGANT”

’90s-style West Coast rap devotee Kamaiyah has been super prolific lately, and like all of her other recent music, “Extravagant” is infectious.

KEMBA – “KILL YOUR IDOLS”

Bronx rapper Kemba has been dropping great new singles all year and this airy new track is no exception.

BROCKHAMPTON – “I.F.L.” & “DOWNSIDE”

Brockhampton continue to release two non-album tracks a week as they prepare for their next album, and the latest are “I.F.L.” and “Downside.” “I.F.L.” finds Brockhampton more in throwback late ’90s / early ’00s rap territory than usual (it suits them well!), and “Downside” is a little more typical of the boy band (and that one’s good too).

JPEGMAFIA – “CUTIE PIE!”

Rapper/producer JPEGMAFIA has been on a roll lately, and here’s another great new single, the rhythmic, groovy, “CUTIE PIE!”

ROSALÍA & TRAVIS SCOTT – “TKN”

Rosalía (along with Lil Baby) featured on the 2019 remix of Travis Scott’s “Highest in the Room,” and now she and Travis have joined forces for a second joint single, “TKN.” “Travis is an artist who I’ve admired a lot since the beginning of his career and I can’t imagine a better artist to collaborate with on this song,” Rosalía writes. “I feel that now is the moment to release this song, after so many months of staying indoors, missing freedom or being with people we love. I hope ‘TKN’ gives you energy, makes you dance, and gives you strength if you’re going through difficult times. With all my love.”

VANGARDE (MR. LIF & STU BANGAS) – “BASQUIAT”

Vangarde is the new duo of underground rap vet Mr. Lif and producer Stu Bangas (Czarface, Sean Price, etc), and their self-titled debut EP is due later this year. New single “Basquiat” is a psychedelic, retro-futuristic rap song that finds these two in fine form.

SLINGBAUM – “BEHOOVE” FT. D’ANGELO & ERYKAH BADU

Jazz musician and composer Slingbaum’s debut album is out this month and features an impressive list of contributors, including FKA twigs, Damon Albarn, D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Bilal, Nick Hakim, Oumou Sangare, Syd, and more. Giles Peterson debuted “Behoove” from the album, which features D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, over the weekend. You can listen via Peterson’s BBC6 archive (the song is on at the 1:50:55 mark).

Two veterans from opposite coasts team up to do what they do best on this new LP for Mello Music Group.

The severely underrated DeJ Loaf returns with a new four-song EP that finds her mostly in somber rap&B mode, which is one of her best modes.

Kenosha, Wisconsin released a new album s.al produced by Scallops Hotel (aka R.A.P. Ferreira, fka milo, etc), and if you like Scallops Hotel’s own jazzy, underground rap, you shouldn’t sleep on this.
