As usual, Williamsburg all ages DIY spot 285 Kent has a ton of good shows coming up, including some especially great ones this week that we haven’t had a chance to mention yet.

On Wednesday (10/2), the venue hosts a night of catchy guitar rock from some great locals like Radical Dads, Dead Stars, Haybaby, BOYTOY, and Honduras. Tickets are on sale.

Thursday (10/3) there’s a double header, with the Dent May/Dead Gaze/Calvin Love show at 8 PM (tickets) and the FIXED 9th anniversary at midnight with a full live band set from The Field (tickets).

Sludge rockers California X come over from Amherst, MA on Friday (10/4) to headline a show that also includes Long Island indie rock traditionalists Turnip King, Body Parts, and Total Slacker DJs. Tickets are on sale.

Finally, as discussed, another group of Massachusetts rockers Potty Mouth celebrate the release of their debut LP, Hell Bent, at the venue on Saturday (10/5) with Syracuse noise punks Perfect Pussy. Since we last spoke, that lineup has been expanded to include Brooklyn’s bluesy LODRO and Cincinnati garage pop trio Tweens. It’s one of two NYC shows that Perfect Pussy and Tweens play together this week. Tickets are still available.
