40 Watt Sun share “Pictures” from new LP

UK former doom/now really slowcore outfit 40 Watt Sun are getting ready to self-release their new album Wider Than the Sky on October 14. Having already given us "Beyond You," they've shared the second new song called "Pictures."

If you heard "Beyond You," you know that Patrick Walker (ex-Warning) and co. have really fully dropped all metallic sounds for the new record after moving in that direction with The Inside Room. "Pictures" is another slow, sad stunner of a track. It's got an achingly beautiful melody that, after seven minutes or so, shifts to an unbelievably emotional climax. It's a great song, and the album can't come soon enough.
