The Village Voice's 4Knots Festival will return to South Street Seaport for a third year, a little earlier though, happening June 29 from 1 - 8 PM. We're happy to hear it, in no small part because the area was hit really hard by Hurricane Sandy. Says the Voice:

We view this year's festival as an opportunity to help bolster hope and help a community that was hard hit by Hurricane Sandy," said Josh Fromson, publisher of The Village Voice. "The 4Knots Music Festival is excited to bring back a free, all day music showcase to this historic New York City landmark.

No word on who is playing it this year, but the Voice promises there will be an announcement soon. The Seaport Music Festival will be back too, with the first announced show being Unkown Mortal Orchestra on June 28, the day before 4Knots. We're gonna guess this is a warm-up show, much like Eleanor Friedberger last year.

There will also be an official 4Knots after-party, happening at Music Hall of Williamsburg immediately after the fest ends. No word on who's playing that either.
