5 Questions with: Gap Dream

With LP#2, Gap Dream transformed from ’60s-ish Nuggets psych to synth-heavy, dance-friendly spacerock. At the controls is main man Gave Fulvimar, whose charisma and general good-vibe stage presence makes Gap Dream such a fun band to see live. The band will be spreading those positive vibes around Austin for SXSW this week, including at the all-day BURGERMANIA III at Hotel Vegas TODAY (3/15). There’s also Burgerama III which happens in Santa Ana, CA later this month. Amidst all this burgering, Gabe was nice enough to answer our 5 QUESTIONS:

1) What is your favorite venue to play in the country and why?

The Happy Dog in Cleveland cuz it’s one if our home spots then I guess I’d have to say the observatory in Santa Ana since that’s our other homespot but I like anywhere honestly.

2) Tell us about the worst show you’ve ever played.

Never had a particularly bad show as gap dream but one time I ate too many mushies and broke a string and it was a total nightmare I actually really would rather not bring it up but I don’t want to lie to you.

3) What are some albums that you guys have been spinning in the van lately?

Usually whatever lee wants to listen too I got some new headphones so I’m gonna be listening to those. 🙂

4) What would your metal band name be?

Gap Dream

5) Be honest: how often do you change your clothes on tour?

When I can. Last year for sxsw I didnt have time to do laundry before I split so I rolled with a suitcase filled with dirty clothes it fucking sucked. Never again.
