a first look at Elsewhere’s rooftop space ++ opening weekend events

Bushwick venue Elsewhere is getting ready to open its rooftop space which will host live music, DJs, food events and more. We've got a first look at the rooftop which you can check out in the gallery above.

Elsewhere's rooftop opens Memorial Day Weekend and they've just announced the Opening Weekend events. Friday, May 25 will feature wild, masked garage rocker Nobunny and more acts TBA, plus a food pop-up from Mission Chinese (who are opening a restaurant in the same building as Elsewhere); and Saturday, May 26 is an all day party featuring Portuguese producer/DJ Branko (of Buraka som Sistema), Uproot Andy, and Alex Pasternak, plus a food pop-up from Holy Ground BBQ. Tickets for both of those shows are on sale now.

The lineup of shows at Elsewhere Rooftop includes Yuksek (6/3), Mr. Twin Sister (6/7), Dilly Dally (6/19), Pride Weekend parties on 6/29 and 6/30, a DFA party on 7/6, electronic pop artist Little Boots on 7/13, and Detroit indie rockers Bonny Doon on 8/13.

BrooklynVegan's Northside show on June 9, which includes Protomartyr and Deerhoof, will take over the roof as well (tickets). Stay tuned for details.
