Acid Dad releasing 'Let's Plan A Robbery' (stream 2 tracks)

You can probably guess what kind of music NYC’s Acid Dad make from their name, and if you guessed psychedelic garage rock you’d be right. It’s not too druggy or scuzzy though — Acid Dad pack their songs with hooks and are clearly here to have a good time. Their debut EP Let’s Plan A Robbery comes out February 26 digitally and on cassette via Knife Tapes, and we’ve got the premiere of its track “Don’t Get Taken.” Check it out, along with the previously-released “Fool’s Gold,” below. You can pre-order the cassette now.

Acid Dad have tour dates announced from this month through late April. Strangely enough, those don’t include any NYC shows, but they play here all the time (Oh My Rockness named them one of the hardest working local bands of 2015). Surely they’ll schedule another hometown show soon.
