ACL expands lineup, announces set times (Metallica vs Travis Scott?)

ACL Festival returns to Zilker Park in Austin TX over two weekends: October 5-7 and October 12-14. Vince Staples, Nelly, and Mamafesta have been added to the Weekend One lineup, and the schedule for both weekends is out – on the app. Download it to see the full schedules, and stay tuned for the printed version. In the mean time, we’ve collected some of the conflicting set times you’ll have to choose between.

On Friday of Weekend One, Big Thief play against Cuco, and Gang of Youths and The Weather Station‘s sets partially overlap. You’ll also need to choose between Alvvays and Noname, David Byrne and Golden Dawn Arkestra, Brockhampton and Father John Misty, and Paul McCartney and Odesza.

Weekend One continues on Saturday, with conflicts including Japanese Breakfast vs The Breeders vs Smino, Blood Orange vs Sharon Van Etten, Nelly vs St. Vincent, and Justice vs Metallica.

On the final day, Sunday, of Weekend One, choose between Amber Mark and Shame, Janelle Monae and Khruangbin, Camila Cabello, Travis Scott and The Revolution, and Shakey Graves and Sylvan Esso.

Weekend Two has some of the same conflicts as Weekend One, and some different ones, too. Friday adds conflicts between Nicole Atkins along with Big Thief vs Cuco, as well as Lily Allen vs Manchester Orchestra. Weekend Two Saturday’s new conflicts are Metallica vs Travis Scott (perhaps the biggest conflict of the fest), and Justice vs St. Vincent. On Sunday of Weekend Two, choose between Amen Dunes and Phil Cook, Janelle Monae and Moses Sumney, and The Revolution and Vince Staples.

Three-day passes to Weekend One are sold out, but various ACL tickets, included three-day passes for Weekend Two, are on sale now.
