QOTSA @ The Moody Theater - 10/3/2013
The first weekend of the two-weekend 2013 Austin City Limits Festival begins in Austin today (10/4). Queens of the Stone Age, whose frontman Josh Homme joined the Arctic Monkeys on stage in LA one night earlier, headline the Bud Light stage tonight, overlapping with 30 minutes of Depeche Mode who overlap an hour with Muse who close down Zilker Parl tonight.
Other weekend headliners include The Cure, Kings of Leon, Atoms for Peace, Phoenix and last but not least Lionel Richie. Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Wilco, The Shouting Matches (a side project of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon), Grimes, Passion Pit, The National, Tame Impala, Neko Case, and many, many more are also on the 8-stage, 3-day, 2-weekend bill.
Queens of the Stone Age, whose next NYC show is a headlining one at Barclays Center with the Kills, unofficially kicked things off last night (10/3) with a taping at Moody Theater in Austin for the Austin City Limits TV show. Stay tuned next season for that episode, but meanwhile you can check out our pictures from the rock action. More below....
