Adam Ant brought 'Friend or Foe' tour to NYC (pics, setlist), announces more dates

Stuart Goddard may be 64 years old, but his alter ego, Adam Ant, is ageless. At Beacon Theatre on Thursday he was running around the stage like the new wave swashbuckler we all know while his band — in classic two-drummer configuration — pounded out his 1982 solo debut Friend or Foe with such hits as “Desperate But Not Serious,” “Goody Two Shoes” and the title track. While Friend or Foe was the focus of Adam’s current tour, he and the band then proceeded to play more than a dozen other songs, including “Strip,” “Vive Le Rock,” and a whole bunch of Ants songs (“Antmusic,” “Stand & Deliver,” “Prince Charming,” “Kings of the Wild Frontier,” more), all delivered with cheeky zest.

Pictures from the whole night, including openers Glam Skanks, are in the gallery above while the setlist (and a few videos) from Beacon Theatre are below.

The Friend or Foe tour wraps up this weekend in Miami but Adam has just announced more dates for it in 2020, hitting the West Coast in April and May. Those dates are listed below.
