Adam Yauch Park graffitied w/ swastikas & "Go Trump"; response rally happening
Perhaps you’ve noticed a rise in racist graffiti since the election of a KKK-endorsed president. Here’s another, particularly disgusting one. Adam Yauch Park, named for the late Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch (aka MCA), was graffitied with swastikas and the phrase “Go Trump.” The Beastie Boys were of course all Jewish, so the location of this graffiti does not seem coincidental. New York City Council member Brad Lander tweeted the following:
Yet more hatred & anti-Semitism from Trump supporters. Swastikas on the playground equipment in Adam Yauch Park in BK Heights. #NeverIsNow pic.twitter.com/Xbcwo4enfF

Adam Yauch is weeping for our country. Mom was Jewish. Practiced Buddhism. Spoke out against Islamophobia. Apologized for homophobic lyrics.

NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force and @NYCParks staff on-site immediately. Will be painted over tonight. No place for hate. We will not be cowed.

UPDATE: Kathleen Hanna revealed on Twitter that there will be a rally at the park on Sunday (11/20) at 11:30 AM, organized by State Senator Daniel Squadron, Congresswoman Nydia Velásquez, other local politicians and more, to “stand up against hate.”
Today in Adam Yauch park, someone spray painted 2 swastikas,
and "Go Trump” in the kid’s playground.
