Lee Fields & the Expressions @ Music Hall of Williamsburg

He’s been on the grind since cutting his first single in 1969, an aching cover of James Brown’s “Bewildered” that helped earn him the nicknames Little J.B. and Soul Brother No. 2. After a trip to Austin which included a Carson Daly showcase at Red 7 (where Carson played drums with Thee Oh Sees and Cults also played), Lee Fields & the Expressions returned to NYC in time to headline a Saturday night show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
