Alex Lahey releases new song & details debut LP ++ BV presale password for NYC

Australian indie rocker Alex Lahey has been working on her debut album for Dead Oceans all year and now details are finally here. It’s called I Love You Like A Brother and it comes out October 6 via her new label home (pre-order). The first single is “Every Day’s The Weekend,” a song she has been playing live this year. It’s been a highlight of her sets and it sounds great recorded too. It’s driving, upbeat indie rock with all of the smart, earnest lyricism that Alex displayed on her debut EP. Watch the video (directed by Callum Preston) below. Artwork and tracklist below too.

As mentioned, Alex is returning to NYC for a BrooklynVegan-presented show on November 16 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for that show go on BrooklynVegan presale today (7/26) at noon. PASSWORD = BVLAHEY.

That show is part of a North American tour she’ll be on through mid-December, which also hits Philly, DC, Toronto, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, and more. All dates are listed below.
