Alice Glass and Zola Jesus wrapped up the North American leg of their joint SnowBlood Tour in Brooklyn on Sunday (5/13). After an opening set from Pictureplane, Zola Jesus took the stage with longtime collaborator Alex DeGroot on guitar and Louise Woodward on viola. They focused on material from their 2017 album Okovi, including “Witness,” which Nika Roza Danilova said is about her uncle’s suicide attempts.

Alice Glass closed out the night, playing her first NYC show since her opening set for Marilyn Manson last year. Joined by a drummer and former HEALTH member Jupiter Keyes, who also worked with her on her self-titled 2017 EP, she played many of those songs, along with a few Crystal Castles songs during her short but energetic set that had the crowd jumping. Check out pictures from the whole night in the gallery above, and some fan-taken video clips below.

Alice has another NYC show this week, at Public Arts on Thursday (5/17), and tickets are still available. Pictureplane also opens this one (but Zola Jesus had to drop off).

Zola Jesus plays some upcoming festivals, including Pitchfork, Boston Calling, and Upstream.
