Alkaline Trio playing their discography in full in Chicago, LA and NYC (including four nights at MHOW)

Alkaline Trio have announced that they’ll play their entire eight-album discography across four nights in LA, Chicago, and NYC each this fall. The NYC shows will happen on October 21, 22, 23 & 24 at Music Hall of Williamsburg, a much smaller space than their last NYC show. Tickets for those shows go on sale Thursday (6/19) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (6/18) at noon. All dates, including Riot Fest Toronto, are listed below.

Though they’re not telling you which albums are which night, it should be a fun thing whichever one you’re at, especially in this relatively intimate location. The band never really got bad (repetitive at worst), but I’d have my fingers crossed to hopefully end up catching one of the first three, Goddamnit (1998), Maybe I’ll Catch Fire (2000), or From Here to Infirmary (2001). They’re all real gems of lyrically grim melodic punk that was too moody and minor key to fit in with the pop punk boom of that era. And there’s still not too much out there that sounds like them.
