alt-J & Kamasi Washington in surround sound at Forest Hills tix on sale (or win them!)

As mentioned, indie shapeshifters alt-J and crossover jazz great Kamasi Washington are playing a unique show together at Queens' Forest Hills Stadium on June 15 in surround sound. According to the venue's announcement, "The show will feature a surround speaker system enveloping the entire audience. The speakers will be used throughout the show to position sound effects mixed into a variety of [alt-J's] material, thus creating an immersive sound experience." As of now, this is the only date alt-J and Kamasi are playing together.

Tickets go on sale today (2/2) at 10 AM, and we're also giving away a pair.
