Toronto indie pop foursome Alvvays, the new band from onetime solo artist Molly Rankin, just finished up a few Canadian dates with Yuck. They'll pick back up with that band below the border for a few East Coast shows next month, including NYC for a show at Bowery Ballroom on February 15 to which tickets are still available.

Looks like Alvvays' debut album, which they recorded with Chad Van Gaalen and was originally slotted for early 2014, won't see a release till the summer, but you can check out two of their exceedingly catchy songs below. NYC has more opportunities to catch them live, too: Alvvays open for Sylvan Esso at Rough Trade on January 30 (tickets); and then they play with Courtney Barnett and Kins at Rough Trade on February 22 (sold-out). UPDATE: Alvvays aren't playing Courtney's show anymore, drat.
